Dr. Rodriguez-McCann was born in California but spent much of his childhood living abroad. His father is a native of Madrid, Spain, and was a professor of Spanish literature for over thirty years. His mother is of Irish descent, and taught Spanish and French in public schools for over two decades.
As a child, Dr. Rodriguez-McCann lived in Spain where his father taught at a local university for several years. It was during this time that he became fluent in Spanish. Dr. Rodriguez-McCann's family later moved to Northern Ireland where he learned more about his mother's background. Dr. Rodriguez-McCann's travels taught him to be very versatile, and have given him a great love of history and the world.
Dr. Rodriguez-McCann's uncle, Dr. Michael McCann, was one of the founders of the dentistry program at the University of California, Los Angeles, as well as a source of guidance and inspiration to him throughout his life.
Dr. Gil Rodriguez-McCann is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, where he obtained his undergraduate and post-graduate degrees.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Redwood Empire Dental Society.
Dr. Rodriguez-McCann has volunteered for Healthy Smile Mobile Dental Foundation, a local non-profit organization serving children without access to dental services. He has volunteered at Hanna Boys' Center, and is a strong supporter of the Valley of the Moon Children's Home.
Dr. Rodriguez-McCann is on staff at the Healdsburg Hospital where he works on medically compromised patients, conducts routine exams, handles cases involving advanced dental procedures, and performs emergency care.
He strives to provide the highest standard of personalized dental care using his skilled training in the latest advances in dental technology. He receives continuing education in order to provide this highest standard of care to his patients.
Dr. Rodriguez-McCann lives locally in Healdsburg with his wife and two children. When not at the office, he enjoys working on projects at home and in the community. He enjoys carpentry and recently built a playhouse for his children's preschool. He loves sports and loves being outside in beautiful Sonoma County.
